Overview
The Kearns Youth Council had their first meeting in October of 2009; The Youth Council is working to establish bylaws, and learning other points of conducting meetings. They are under the umbrella of the Kearns Community Council's education program. They serve as ambassadors and an example to our youth in the Kearns community.
The Kearns Youth Council meets the 1st and 3rd Friday of the month from 4-6 pm at the Tennis Center.
Complete application with parent/guardian signature.
Applications can be brought to any Youth Council Meeting and given to Youth Council Advisor

The Kearns Youth Council has been established to and has adopted the following youth policy guidelines:
- Improve young people's access to community services and facilities by working with the Community Council to help find ways to make its services and facilities as youth friendly as possible, so that young people feel comfortable accessing and participating in services and activities.
- Address youth issues to make the Youth Policy youth focused.
- Ensure youth-friendly information and communication by supporting regular communication between young people.
- Raise community awareness about the real issues that affect young people in the Kearns community.
- Advocate on behalf of young people and provide advice to community and community groups, local business and government departments to respond to youth issues.
- Provide opportunities for young people to build on and expand their skills in leadership, communication, team work, civic affairs, solving problems, public speaking, and networking.
