Call To Order---Chuck McDowell, Chairman
Pledge Of Allegiance---Greg Schulz, Westside Representative
Roll Call Of Members---Eight members in attendance, one excused, as listed above.
Minutes---In executive meeting the executive and public minutes were tabled for June 5, 2007
Consent Calendar---Chuck stated all actions done in executive meeting were accepted. Chuck also announced that the 7-3-07 meeting will be primarily an executive meeting because of the 7-4-07 holiday. May not have any public attending to call a public meeting. If public does attend then will move into a public meeting.
Sheriff Report---Deputy Miranda gave report that the bike patrol was up and going. They have recently served a search warrant for nuisance in the 5295 South area.
Committee Reports---Treasurer Report---TJ reported that there is $37, 400.95 balance in KCC account. This includes the special funding. ACCT---Kathy reported the Wickstom feasibility study group is not ready yet. West Jordan had previously pulled out, but has come back. Parks & Rec---TJ reported he had emailed Walt Gilmore, not heard back yet, regarding the capital improvements. TJ stated not had a chance to talk with Cathy Harding yet on an update of skatepark. Chuck stated he had heard back from Brent Sheets at KOPFC regarding the skatepark issue. He stated he was told that KOPFC is negotiating with the county to trade property. Economic Development---Charles reported the next meeting will be 6-28-07 at 3:30 PM at the Utah Olympic Oval World Records Lounge. It will be an informal discussion with the stakeholders of the warehouse area, Dale Carpenter and other county people. Community Involvement---Paula reported on progress of KCC float and that over approx. 124 volunteer hours have been put in so far.
Unfinished Business---Westside Representative---Greg Schulz reported he is glad to fill this position and stated that he works for the KCC to the county. Updated everyone on issues. Bingham-Magna Ditch---Douglas Becon reported on the issue stating that the study of this will begin in July of 2007. Webmaster---Chuck made request that the council go ahead and pay the remaining $1000.00 to webmaster Jill Young after she finishes up the volunteer page she is working on. No objections from council.
New Business---None
Citizen Input---“Skinny” Johnny Mitchell---4840 South 4900 West, Kearns had questions on some trees that were on neighbors property that were now so large they were breaking up concrete on his property. Chuck gave him name and number of ordinance office to contact. Mr. Mitchell also said he still owns the Trinity Broadcast Network at 6400 West and 5400 South. Mary---5128 Pieper Blvd, Kearns stated she is still concerned about the weeds behind her wall. Concerned about fire, etc… Chuck gave her name and number of ordinance officer to contact.
